I'm a first time buyer and thought that I had narrowed by choice down to what would be ideal for my purposes with a B2910. I've seen a couple of posts indicating that the B2910 was being discontinued and replaced with the B3030. The official Kubota site still shows both models and the B3030 apparently available either with or without a cab. Now I'm really confused! Anyone care to enlighten me?

The B-2910 is definitely replaced by the B-3030. There might be a left over 2910 somewhere that would have a nice price on it! ....

Froglick -
The B3030 is a replacement, yes, however offers more than the B2910 does/did.
The primary offering, is the claim to fame by Kubota, that it is available with the cab option, this being the smallest "tractor" in the line capable of a full blown cab.

(Art correct me if I am mistaken, I believe the Bxx50 series of days gone past, also had a Kubota cab available, but was merely a sheet metal enclosure without bells and whistles.)

Willie, both Sims and Curtis built cabs for the older 50's series. They were good at the time but less then desireable by todays standards. They only had left hand doors and they were ziper not like today. Many of today's tractors are built to be enclosed better and I'll seperate that one a little more as the basic tractors normally are more open on the bottom then the deluxe so often the owners might build something more or go back to the manufacturer to get more pieces to enclose better. ....

I was trying to remember the other cab manu. name besides Curtis...Sims...thanks for the knock on the noodle.

Does Kubota offer the cab alone as a separate purchasable item for the 3030?

I'd really be interested in a "left over" 2910 if I could find one - even a clean gently used used one. I really don't need a cab and in fact it might be a disadvantage on my wooded property. Is the 3030 pricing about the same despite the improvements? Guess the Kubota web site is just not really up to date on current product offerings. ....

There are a few left but not many. The cabs for the 3030 are air conditioned and not sold as a kit but come as a complete unit. ....

I purchased a B3030 HSDC last october. It handles like no other tractor i have owned or operated and i have worked in the green industry 29 years! The cab seal is so tight you have to pull hard to close the doors.I am very impressed with all aspects of this machine, the steering, balance and overall performance of this tractor astounds me. The B2910 is a fine machine but it's no match for the 3030. ....
